If there is nothing less wrong with the motherboard I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of using that last PCI slot for a sound card As for me personally I haven’t had a whole lot of luck with Realtek products and for the most part I just opt for the sound card instead of returning the whole motherboard. Will get a PCIe card next and test that out. I do thing it’s worth your time to patch sounnd onboard sound problem with a card but a bad AGP socket is a death blow straight up.
